WHY WAIT 40 YEARS ?

Why wait 40 years before you have all the experience that you need to have an elite coach? There is no need for that anymore. The VBO will teach you 40 years of experience in just 1 year time with the online elite coach education. For the last 20 years I have been writing technical articles about badminton covering all aspects of our sport, now I will spend 1 year telling how it is to think has an elite coach too. Sharing  information is not a big thing in the country where I come from so everybody makes his or her own mistakes when trying to discover the most effective way of badminton training and when you think you have discovered something you keep it for yourself so the info stays static and will not develop any further. I myself have never learned anything in Holland and made very early in my badminton coach career to learn Danish and do my coach education in Denmark. The power of this country is that coaches are sharing know how and information, top players are very approachable so it is no problem to talk about your thoughts with players who are or have been in the top 3 of the World. There are also two federations who are working together now in coach education there were very different ways of setting up the education. Beside the federations doing coach education there are also private education programs like the one from Kenneth Larsen. Denmark alone will not make you a great coach, you also need to work a lot in Asia to be able to understand why badminton is such a big thing in this part of the World. For the last two years we have been talking with the VBO to set up a education program that will change the sport in our country, last year we started with the program “Badminton specialist”  and in September we will start the second edition, this one is already fully booked but you can get on the waiting list for the third edition. The Badminton specialist program is mainly in the hall and very much focused on practical work, there is however a big need for theoretical information and this is what the VBO offers in the “Elite Coach” program. This is a program that is done online where you work 1 on 1 in a zoom meeting on special subjects, it is very detailed and it will take one year. There is no fixed start date you can step in any time you want and it is open for coaches from all over the World. For more information you can write to [email protected]
