NUMBERS DON'T LIE

Numbers don’t lie

If you look at the numbers in this virus time you can only come to one conclusion and that is that

sport is more safe in Azië then it is in Europe, badminton training and even tournaments has almost not stopt. And when looking at the fact that in very highly populated countries like Vietnam the number of people getting the virus is 0.002 per 100.000.  That is nothing when we compare with any other country in Europe, some players have just been lucky this year because they were in Vietnam and could just keep on training. But for next winter you may well have to consider doing your training in Asia especially if there is still no vaccine against the virus. The risk in Holland or any other country in Europe that you get seriously sick is 180 (NL) tot 425 (EP) times bigger than in  Vietnam.

What if you are training for the Olympic games for 2021 and you get stopped again next winter because of a second wave for coronavirus (and this wave will come according to the specialists). So you don’t even have to get sick but others who get sick can stop you from training.

We have two main plans for this year, the first one is that we go back to Denmark to do the summer camp and after that we will return to Asia again to pick up the training in our academy by the first of October. Plan B is that we can not do the summer camp in Denmark and we will not get back to Denmark but we stay in Asia. Then we pick up the training in our academy already at the first of September, if there was ever a good year to take free from school or study it will be this year. There are many things very unsure, you have no idea if your school will be open this winter, and if the badminton will be started up again. Because of the structure in our academy we only have 6 places max, the minimum time to come is 1 month and the maximum is 3 months at the time, this is because of the visa’s rules but it is possible to get an extension on a 3 months visa for maximum 3 more months. So it is possible to do ½ year training in Asia on every level from club player to national team member on Elite level. You can write to us for more information on what we can do for you.
