India

Sometimes even I get a feeling of being appreciated and all the writing about our sport is paying off, I’m not talking about money but about something that is a lot more important ……..appreciation. It really hit me after getting an email from a very big Indian Badminton Academy with this text:

“I would welcome you to India and impart Danish way of training. We (my son and me) are really very much impressed with the Danish way of teaching badminton and amazed with the wonderful work you are doing, especially with very young kids. In India coaches only want to teach elite players and teaching kids between 5 to 9 becomes monotonous for them especially if they are not naturally skilled. Our aim is to work with these younger kids.”

It was after they have seen the video clips of Huynh and me working with the school kids of Orø, It is nice that this great Orø time has given us one of the biggest badminton countries in the World.
